"Have your AI talk to my AI." ...Recruiting is being disrupted.

We Need to Rethink Strategic Hiring for a Competitive Edge.

I've been in the tech space and executive search for a while and seen a lot of things change. Recruiting has been about qualifications and conversation. It still is. However, there is a move to have humans become spectators almost, watching AI tools and AI agents duke it out for the few real jobs.

The Recruiters' Race to Automate

Corporate applicant tracking systems, or ATS, are all about letting AI do the dirty work. AI writing job descriptions, sourcing candidates from LinkedIn, and then screening thousands of resumes in a fraction of a second based on the job description. It's much more efficient for sure. But it's becoming about speed and scale, not people. Still, if your company is not doing it, you're falling behind.

Candidates Strike Back with AI

Then you have the candidates who are getting discouraged, but not just sitting around waiting. They’re using AI tools to rewrite their resumes to perfectly match the keywords in a job description. I’ve heard of people now using AI to give real-time answers to interview questions from one of the Q&A apps. It’s an all-out digital arms race to game the system.

The Disconnect: More Applicants, Fewer Jobs, and Persistent Mis-Hires

This has created a crazy situation. You see more job postings than ever, and companies are getting flooded with applications. But from a candidate's perspective, it feels like there are no jobs at all. Why? Because the sheer volume of AI-generated applications is creating so much noise that it's hard to get a real conversation started.

So, where does that leave us? For all the tech, it’s harder than ever to find a great job or a great person. The future of recruiting isn’t just about whose AI is smarter. It’s about the human behind the machine. The people who can build relationships, spot a genuine red flag, and know what real talent looks like are going to win. In the end, you can’t automate greatness.

This is the Way: People Following a Repeatable System

This is why I started Hireboost.ai. It is built on the success I had seen pre-AI craziness, by using a teachable system. As things have changed so rapidly, what I see now is how it's even more important to bring the human element back to the forefront. Automation and AI are here to stay, and we're all going to use them, but I want to provide your team with the playbooks and processes to regain control.

We help recruiters become true Talent Advisors, not just button-pushers. By offering a structured framework for everything from strategic role discovery to live debriefing sessions, HireBoost ensures that while AI may handle the transactions, the best decision is made because of human expertise, alignment, and judgment. When done in a repeatable manner, it leads to a much more valuable team.
